Yoshimi Kinoshita／木下佳美 園長
Yoshimi Kinoshita has been the director of the preschool since June 2016. She taught at the school from 2005. She was born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan and graduated from Seiwa College with a BA degree in Early Childhood Education. She is the mother of two boys.
Reiko Kamada／鎌田礼子 相談役
Reiko-sensei has been the director of the preschool for the past 20 years, since the school was licensed in 1996. She retired in June 2016 and now serves as an advisor to the preschool staff. She attended the University of California at Davis and has a BA in Psychology and a BS in Child Development.
Rev. Kevin Omi／ケビンオミ 牧師
Rev. Kevin Omi has served as pastor of Sycamore Congregational Church since January 2012. He graduated from the Pacific School of Religion with a Master of Divinity in 2009. He enjoys participating in events that bring together current and former preschool families and seeing the children blossom, not only academically but socially and spiritually. His hobbies include biking, skiing and writing poetry.
Rev. Yasutaka Yoshioka／吉岡恵生 牧師
Rev. Yasutaka Yoshioka graduated from the Graduate School of Theology at Doshisha University. He served as a pastor of Reinanzaka Church in Tokyo, Japan before coming to serve at Sycamore Church in May 2015. He and his wife, Hitomi, have 3 sons.
Midori Briggs/ブリッグス ミドリ先生
Midori-sensei started to teach at Sycamore preschool in January 2017. She is from Yokohama, Japan. After graduating a college, she worked in Asia, Europe and USA. Her two sons graduated from Sycamore preschool in 2005 and 2007. She volunteered in their classrooms for several years. Then she earned early childhood education core skills certification at College of Marin in 2013. Her hobbies are yoga, traveling and making cookies. Yoga alliance 200 hr certified.
Akiko Kohnen／コーネン明子 先生
Akiko started teaching at Sycamore preschool in November 2016. Her previous experience from Peter Pan preschool in El Cerrito for about two years. She is currently studying Early Childhood Education at Contra Costa College. She is from Ibaraki Japan. She has one boy and two cats.
